About the Role
We have a Senior Dietitian opportunity available for experienced New Zealand Registered Dietitian to join our dynamic, supportive and self-motivated Dietetic team of 29.65FTE dietitians based at Auckland City Hospital but with the opportunity to work across all of our adult inpatient wards/spaces and our outpatient clinics. This role is a permanent full time (40 hours /week) Monday to Friday, with roster weekends.
The role is ideal for a dietitian who thrives in a high pressure, changing workspace and who has excellent communication, organisation skills and ability to work independently as part of a dynamic team.
- Proactively work with a complex caseload delivering high quality outcome focused innovative care, applying evidence-based practice, interventions, and education
- involved in reviewing and evolving the model of cares across the service
- Enhance your skills and knowledge in the comprehensive management across several patient groups
- Receive support to lead clinical education and quality improvement initiatives
- Work in partnership with an individual and their whānau to provide nutrition care tailored for their needs.

- Optimize patient experience by utilizing your excellent interpersonal communication skills

About the Team/Service/ Location
Our team is made up of passionate and supportive dietitians who are dedicated to advocating for our patients and enhancing nutrition-related outcomes within our community. We consist of 29.65FTEs, working across both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role is based at Auckland City Hospital.

About you
As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:
- New Zealand Registered Dietitian with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- At least six years post-graduate clinical experience preferably working within a clinical dietetic setting
- Full, clean NZ Drivers’ License
- Be a great connector of people and ideas
- An understanding of bicultural issues and commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary setting
- Effective time management, flexibility, prioritisation and organisation skills
- Drive, energy and initiative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
