About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse to join Ward 15, our Medical and Elder Services ward at Whangārei Hospital.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a supportive and dedicated team providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population. You will play a key role in delivering person and whānau-centred care, supporting patients through their healthcare journey while contributing to positive health outcomes.
As a Registered Nurse in the Medical Wards at Whangarei Hospital you will:
- Provide nursing care with a family centred approach that is safe, of the highest quality possible and in accordance with nursing council competencies.
- Maintain and enhance the professional standards of nursing and participate in the development of nursing within the Medical and Elder Services.
- Supporting a positive team culture focused on excellence, learning, and patient care.

About you
- New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Recent clinical experience within the last 12 months
- Initiative, flexibility, and a positive approach to patient care.
- Good team player and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in assessment and rehabilitation nursing and/or acute stroke care would be advantageous but is not essential.
