About the Role
The position is:
· Full-time and part-time, based at Te Whare Awhiora, Health NZ | Te Whatu Ora Tairāwhiti (Gisborne Hospital)
· Ideal for applicants with a background in mental health nursing
· Offers opportunities for new learning and growth in a dynamic and evolving environment
· All candidates must be registered with the New Zealand Nursing Council, hold a current Annual Practising Certificate, and be eligible to work in New Zealand
What you'll do:
· Provide quality care for tangata whaiora experiencing mental distress
· Implement therapeutic and safe practices across the unit (new purpose-built facility opening early 2024)
· Liaise across the wider team and community networks
· Work effectively with people presenting with co-existing conditions
· Engage respectfully with people from a broad range of backgrounds
