About the Role
Position: Registered Nurse – DOSU / Pre-Admission Clinic
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our Pre-Admission Clinic team at Gisborne Hospital. This role is primarily based in the Pre-Admission Clinic, with occasional cover in our Day of Surgery Unit (DOSU). You’ll play a key role in preparing patients for surgery, ensuring they receive safe, thorough, and compassionate care.
Your contribution will directly support positive surgical outcomes and the ongoing delivery of excellent care to our community.

About the Team/Service/ Location
The Pre-Admission Clinic operates Monday to Friday 0800hrs to 1630hrs (however, with occasional cover in DOSU, you will need to be available for rostered and rotating shifts).

About you
We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse who is passionate about patient care and thrives in both collaborative and independent settings.
You will have:
- Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a valid Annual Practising Certificate.
- Recent surgical nursing experience.
- A compassionate and approachable manner, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing demands.
- A commitment to professional development (postgraduate qualifications are an advantage).
