  • 2 x Permanent, Full - Time, 80 Hours per fortnight (1 FTE)

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU), you will provide compassionate, family - centred care to infants requiring specialised neonatal support. Working alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for babies and their whānau.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Our Special Care Baby Unit is part of the wider Paediatric Service at Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital. We are a dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality neonatal care while ensuring babies and their whānau receive the support, education and reassurance they need throughout their healthcare journey.

About you

As a Registered Nurse, you will bring:

  • Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with babies, whānau and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment with strong organisational and time management skills.
  • IV certification / designation and a commitment to delivering safe, evidence - based care.
  • Neonatal nursing experience is preferred, along with a commitment to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning.
