About the Role
This permanent part-time position working 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week) is based in the 46-bed Orthopaedic Ward at Tauranga Hospital. The ward provides care to both acute and elective orthopaedic patients, with a smaller number of medical patients. Morning, afternoon, and night shifts are worked across a Monday to Sunday roster. Clinical experience will span post-op recovery, trauma, general medical, and rehabilitation.

About you
Confident under pressure and committed to providing exceptional care, the preferred candidate thrives in a team environment and brings a calm, capable presence to the ward. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys surgical nursing with a blend of complexity, variety, and meaningful recovery journeys.
What you will bring:
- Current NZNC registration and Annual Practicing Certificate
- Recent acute nursing experience (orthopaedic, surgical, rehab, or medical preferred)
- Excellent communication skills and clinical judgement
- Flexibility to work rostered rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
- A commitment to continuous learning and equitable care
