About the Role

Lead meaningful change in a role where clinical leadership meets person-centred care. Based in Tauranga, the Clinical Nurse Specialist – HIV / Hepatology is pivotal to improving outcomes and access for people living with complex and chronic conditions.

The role works autonomously and as part of a close-knit multidisciplinary team, supporting patients and whānau through education, treatment coordination, and specialist nursing care. This position also contributes to service development and clinical excellence across the district, including satellite clinics in the Bay of Plenty.

Our amazing team delivers compassionate, equitable, evidence-based care to people with hepatitis, HIV, and complex liver conditions. You will work alongside infectious disease and hepatology specialists, outpatient nursing, and community-based providers to ensure consistent, wraparound support. About you

The role is designed for someone who brings both clinical expertise and cultural responsiveness to every encounter. You are a confident Registered Nurse with experience in managing chronic or infectious conditions. You already support patients to navigate their options with empathy, education, and skill.

What you will bring:

  • Current NZNC registration and Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Senior nursing experience in a relevant setting
  • Strong assessment and care coordination skills
  • Confidence working both independently and across services
  • Commitment to cultural safety and equity-driven practice
  • Full NZ Driver Licence (travel across the district is required)
