About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in our Medical Day Unit, you’ll deliver safe, effective, and culturally responsive nursing care to patients and their whānau. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care in a fast-paced outpatient environment. You’ll work closely with a trans-disciplinary team to coordinate care and contribute to positive health outcomes. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills in a supportive and collaborative setting.

Our Medical Day Unit team is passionate about providing high-quality care to patients requiring outpatient treatments and procedures. Based at Gisborne Hospital, you’ll be part of a close-knit team that values compassion, teamwork, and excellence in nursing practice.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be a Registered Nurse with a current NZ Annual Practising Certificate
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and improving Māori health outcomes
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be adaptable, resilient, and able to work both independently and in a team
  • Show initiative and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • You must be eligible to work in New Zealand
