About the Role
- Permanent, part‑time (hours up to 0.8FTE / job share considered)
- Based across North Shore Hospital & Waitākere Hospital
We are seeking a Clinical Coach to work alongside nursing staff in a direct clinical teaching role, supporting the development of nurses working in Assessment, Treatment & Rehabilitation (AT&R), and the Integrated Stroke Unit (ISU).
In this role, you will coach, supervise, and guide nurses in day‑to‑day practice-strengthening clinical decision-making, role modelling high‑quality nursing care, and supporting a positive learning environment. Your work will directly contribute to growing the capability and confidence of our teams across three older‑adult wards.
This is a role where you can make a meaningful and visible impact. You will work closely with teams who are committed to providing high‑quality care to older adults and stroke patients, and who value collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
About the Team and Location
You will be based at both North Shore Hospital and Waitākere Hospital, working within supportive, multidisciplinary teams who take pride in delivering excellent patient care. Our nursing workforce has a strong culture of teamwork, shared learning, and supporting one another.

You will bring enthusiasm for developing others, sound clinical judgement, and a commitment to fostering a positive and safe learning environment.
To be considered, you will need:
- Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practising Certificate (Nursing Council of New Zealand)
- 5+ years of New Zealand nursing experience in acute and/or rehabilitation settings
- Experience in clinical teaching, coaching, or Train‑the‑Trainer programmes
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
