Registered Nurse - Chemotherapy and Day Stay Unit Taupo

About the Role

We are a day unit open 0800-1630hrs operating two days a week currently on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (may be increased) delivering chemotherapy and supportive treatments to patients with cancer located within the Taupo catchment. Full training and certification for chemotherapy administration, CVAD and Cannulation training will be given.

About the Team/Service/ Location

We are a small team, an extension of the Rotorua Chemotherapy and Medical Daystay unit with Rotorua Based staff traveling down on a rotating roster. Our 3 Medical Oncologists provide clinics weekly. About you

As a chemotherapy / medical day stay staff member, you need the following skills:

  • Three or more year of nursing experience
  • IV cannulation certification and port certification a bonus but not required
  • Chemotherapy experience a bonus but not required
  • Must have a full NZ drivers licence and have the ability to be able to travel to Taupo
