About the Team/Service/ Location
Our Intensive Mental Health Service provides assessment, care and treatment to people experiencing acute mental illness across an acute inpatient facility and a step - down facility. We have a dynamic forward - thinking team who rise to the challenges in their day - to - day work.
There is no doubt that our Nurse’s in Mental Health are charting the course for the rest of the country. Hawke’s Bay is a region that makes our lofty goals really achievable - the populations big enough to give scale to the initiatives, but small enough to allow for penetration. It’s also a region with a number of communities who really need our help, and Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, Te Matau a Māui, Hawke’s Bay is absolutely determined to improve the lives of those residents.

About you
To be considered for this role you will need:
- Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Significant experience in mental health with a demonstrated high level of clinical expertise in comprehensive assessment in, Mental Health, Risk Assessment and Physical Health
