About the Role
This is a fixed‑term Registered Nurse position, offering the opportunity to provide high ‑ quality, patient ‑ centred nursing care within a busy hospital setting.
You will undertake comprehensive assessments, plan and deliver evidence ‑ based care, support patients and whānau through their healthcare journey, and respond to changes in clinical condition with confidence and professionalism. You’ll work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, culturally responsive care and positive patient outcomes.
The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical documentation, participating in quality improvement initiatives, supporting students and new staff, and contributing to safe staffing practices.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary clinical team at Hawke’s Bay Fallen Soldier Memorial Hospital, working alongside nursing, medical and allied health professionals in a supportive, collaborative environment focused on delivering high ‑ quality patient care.

About you
You are a compassionate and capable Registered Nurse who enjoys working in a team and delivering patient‑centred care. You will have:
- Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a valid Annual Practising Certificate
- Strong clinical assessment and decision ‑ making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to prioritise and work effectively in a busy clinical environment
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
- Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to equitable health outcomes
Desired:
- A current PDRP portfolio
- Relevant clinical experience in the specialty area
