About the Opportunity
The Northern Region is strengthening its commitment to delivering high‑quality care closer to home by developing Hospital in the Home as a coordinated regional service. To support this work, we are excited to offer a newly created role that will help bring this vision to life.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Regional Service Manager HitH Network to join our regional HiTH leadership team. This is a unique opportunity to help shape a service that is redefining how and where acute hospital level care is delivered.
Working in close partnership with the Regional HiTH Nurse Director and Regional HitH Clinical Lead as well as our regional district HitH leaders, you will play a pivotal role in building a consistent, high‑performing regional model that supports safe, effective, patient‑centred acute hospital level care in the home/community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the operational development and coordination of the Regional HiTH service across multiple Northern Region sites.
- Work collaboratively with clinical and operational leaders to design and implement consistent service pathways, processes, and standards.
- Support the development of regional workforce models, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
- Drive service improvement initiatives that enhance patient experience, efficiency, and quality of care.
- Monitor service performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate strong communication and collaboration between local HiTH teams, regional leadership, and partner services.
- Contribute to strategic planning and long‑term service development for Hospital in the Home.
About You
You will bring a blend of operational leadership, service development experience, and a passion for innovative models of care. You will thrive in a complex, multi‑site environment and enjoy working collaboratively to build something new.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Proven experience in health service management, operational leadership, or service development.
- Strong relationship‑building skills and the ability to work effectively across organisational boundaries.
- A track record of leading change, improving systems, and delivering measurable service improvements.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Understanding of community‑based or hybrid/virtual models of care (desirable but not essential).
- A commitment to equity, patient‑centred care, and continuous improvement.
