About the Role

Build your podiatry career in a varied role where your clinical skills can make a meaningful difference to patient outcomes. Working across Tauranga and Whakatāne, you will provide podiatry care across outpatient clinics, acute wards, and emergency care, with exposure to wound care, triage, and a diverse range of clinical presentations.

Applications are warmly welcomed from both experienced Podiatrists and new graduates. If you are beginning your career, you will be supported with training, clinical guidance, and opportunities to develop your confidence and capability within the service.

The current role already offers broad exposure across hospital, and outpatient environments, which makes that graduate-development proposition credible.

About the Team/Service/Location

The Bay of Plenty Podiatry Service is a small, highly connected team delivering care across Tauranga and Whakatāne. You will work alongside experienced clinicians and professional leadership, with strong connections across hospital services and the wider community. About You

Whether you are an experienced Podiatrist or preparing to take the first step in your professional career, you bring curiosity, sound clinical foundations, and a genuine commitment to patient care. You enjoy learning, building relationships, and working collaboratively, with an interest in developing your skills across varied clinical environments and increasingly complex presentations.

What you will bring:

• Registration with the Podiatrist Board of New Zealand and a current Annual Practicing Certificate, or eligibility to obtain these by your agreed start date
• A recognised podiatry qualification
• An interest in developing skills in wound care, triage, and the management of diverse clinical presentations
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• Ability to work collaboratively while developing confidence in autonomous clinical practice
• An interest in service development and quality improvement
• Commitment to culturally responsive practice and equitable healthcare delivery
