About the Role
Bring your physiotherapy experience to a varied outpatient role supporting people across a diverse range of clinical presentations. Lymphoedema will be an important area of focus, and we welcome Physiotherapists who already have experience in this area as well as those interested in developing their capability through supported postgraduate training.
Your wider clinical experience is equally valued. Whether your strengths include musculoskeletal physiotherapy, vestibular and balance rehabilitation, paediatrics, or another area of outpatient practice, there is scope to bring those skills to the service while continuing to grow your professional expertise.
About the Team/Service/Location
Our Community and Outpatient Allied Health services support people across the Eastern Bay of Plenty to maintain function, independence, and wellbeing. Based in Whakatāne, you will work alongside experienced Physiotherapists and wider Allied Health colleagues in a collaborative environment where shared learning, professional development, and continually improving care are valued.

About You
You are a Physiotherapist who enjoys the variety of outpatient practice and brings strong clinical reasoning, adaptability, and a willingness to continue learning. You may already have lymphoedema experience or be interested in developing this area of practice, alongside other clinical strengths that can contribute to the needs of the wider outpatient service.
What you will bring:
- Current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand and a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Postgraduate lymphoedema qualification, or commitment to completing the relevant training
- Experience or a strong clinical interest in lymphoedema assessment and management
- At least three years’ post-graduate physiotherapy experience
- Sound clinical reasoning and confidence working independently across a range of patient presentations
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary working skills
- Full NZ driver’s licence
