About the Role

Physiotherapy Clinical Lead MSK Outpatients 0.7 - 1.0 FTE

We are seeking an experienced NZ Registered Physiotherapist who is able to lead and develop our MSK Outpatient Physiotherapy Department.

This role has a substantial personal clinical caseload alongside the clinical lead responsibilities (see job description for further information).

Some experience in pain management is preferred.

This position leads a group of 1 junior and 4 senior physiotherapists and shares leadership of 2 administration staff.

This role may include rostered weekend work and on call if desired (after a period of training/orientating to relevant competencies).

About the Team/Service/ Location

This work occurs primarily within the Physiotherapy department at Taranaki Base Hospital and can occur in Hawera Hospital or community locations as required.

About you

You will need to have: 

  • Current NZ Physiotherapy Annual Practising Certificate
  • Minimum five years musculoskeletal experience
  • A passion for teaching and mentoring other physiotherapists and students
  • Problem solving approach
  • Previous experience or desire to engage in service development opportunities
  • Excellent cultural knowledge and practice – Te Reo speaking is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills with both staff and patients
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Evidence of ongoing self-directed learning
  • Valid Drivers’ licence
  • Working visa/NZ residence (as required)
