About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Physiotherapist with a passion for excellent patient care and developing leadership, to join our inpatient services at Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora – Waitakere Hospital.

This is currently a 0.6 – 0.8 FTE part-time role, however, there is potential for further FTE to be added to this role in the future.

In this role, you will be working alongside an established inter-disciplinary team providing excellent patient care to a variety of patient groups including medical conditions.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Te Whatu Ora – Waitematā is leading the way in the Northland region in digital innovation with electronic patient notes, e-prescribing and e-vitals and have strong links with our community and outpatient services.

Our team of acute physiotherapists work across general medical wards and ED/ADU. Our new purpose built inpatient unit Manaaki Hōhonu is due to open later this year, expanding medical bed capacity at Waitākere hospital and enabling ICU level care closer to home. We are a close-knit team who are dedicated to providing a high standard of care to our Waitematā community.

About you

• New Zealand Professional Registration and valid APC
• 2+years of recent inpatient experience
• Ability to lead, support and mentor/supervise junior staff
• Experience with student supervision
• Strong clinical assessment skills, great communication and fast thinking.
