About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic, skilled, and fast thinking Physiotherapist to work on our post-acute care medical ward as part of our inpatient services at Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora – Waitematā.

This is a part time, fixed term role, in which you will be supporting patients who are medically stable but require additional care before safely returning home. In this unique environment, you will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, delivering early assessment, targeted interventions and coordinated discharge planning. Your contribution will be key in helping achieve positive health outcomes through a collaborative, patient-centred approach.

About you

  • New Zealand Professional Registration and valid current APC
  • 2+years of recent acute inpatient hospital experience
  • Ability to lead, support and mentor/supervise junior staff
  • Experience with student supervision
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, great communication and fast thinking.
