Nurse Practitioner - Child Youth and Family Mental Health Services

About the role

We currently have a vacancy within the Child, Youth and Family Mental Health Services. These  roles will have a primary base of either North Shore or Waitakere sites with an expectation to support both sites as demand requires.

This newly established position will give the opportunity for providing responsive assertive, diagnosis and delivery of clinical treatments/therapies to rangatahi. The role requires you to work with a high level of autonomy delivering comprehensive person-centered care in an advanced and extended clinical nursing role. You will be a skilled and effective communicator who prides yourself on your collaborative and inclusive nursing practice.

You will be part of a Multi-disciplinary team working in conjunction with the Consultant Psychiatrist and Senior Clinical team to provide clinical leadership to assist the delivery of evidence based interventions.

About you

If you are a Nurse Practitioner or about to gain your qualification in the next 6 months with mental health experience who wants the opportunity to join a new dynamic team then this is the job for you.

Here are some requirements to consider before submitting your application:

  • Registered Nurse RCpN, RGON, BHSC with current Annual Practising Certificate
  • Nurse Practitioner as approved by the Nursing Council of New Zealand
  • Masters in Nursing, prescribing practicum
  • Current NZ Full Driver's license
  • Excellent communication skills are a must.
