The Consult Liaison and Emergency Department (ED) Psychiatry team is a dedicated group of Psychiatrists and Clinical Nurse Specialists who work with whai ora attending the hospitals' ED and Assessment & Diagnostic Unit (ADU), and those in wards who are affected by mental health. The Liaison Psychiatry team will conduct assessments and provide advise on treatment and appropriate follow-up care for the patients with mental health concerns. This team is an integral part of the wider Specialised Mental Health and Addictions division.
About You
You will have a passion for and dedication to adult mental health care, a contemporary and evidence based approach to clinical and professional nursing practice, and exemplary leadership skills and knowledge. You will be a positive nursing identity and an advocate for the multi-disciplinary team approach to mental health care.

We’d expect you to have
- Post Graduate certificate/diploma in Mental Health nursing, including papers in Leadership
- Minimum of 5 years post registration nursing practice in Mental Health nursing
- Current, proficient/expert level portfolio.
