Nuclear Medicine – Experienced Registered Nurse

- Permanent Part time 64 Hours per fortnight working Monday- Friday

About the Role
- Providing care to patients before, during and after a nuclear medicine procedure
- Working closely with the radiologists and MIT’s
- Inserting intravenous cannulas or accessing CVADs to administer radiopharmaceuticals and adjunct medications to patients
- Identifying unexpected reactions in patients during procedures
- Responds appropriately in an emergency situation and ensure emergency equipment is maintained in top condition
- Comprehensive understanding of nuclear medicine practice, including radiation protection issues.

About you
Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:
- Registered nurse with a current practising certificate
- Previous Experience in Radiology/Surgical/Procedural Nursing would be an advantage
- Intravenous cannulation skills
- Competence in accessing CVAD’s
- Ultrasound cannulation skills is preferred but not essential
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Have the ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
