About the Role
As Manager Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre, you will report to the Chief Medical Officer and be accountable for leading, facilitating and developing comprehensive clinical skills learning programmes.
Key responsibilities:
- Promote the use of the Clinical Skills Centre, ensuring that the facility develops and maintains a reputation for excellence and is well utilised by a multi-disciplinary range of health workforce educators and practitioners regionally, nationally and internationally and maximises opportunities for external revenue.
- Deliver clinical skills and simulation learning solutions for the organisation to improve patient safety, systems evaluation, teamwork and decision making.
- Manage the resuscitation programme for the wider organisation and external participants and assist with evaluating appropriate resuscitation equipment.
- Manage contracts with suppliers, vocational colleges, and other training providers.
- Leadership and management of direct reports.
- Allocate time to support ongoing professional development and maintain APC requirements.
- Time can be allocated within the 1 FTE to maintain own clinical practice.

About the Team/Service
The Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre is a purpose-built facility for undergraduate and postgraduate training, from basic level to sophisticated advanced specialist training. The centre is available for all groups including nursing, medical, surgical, Allied Health, general practice, paramedical and other community health groups.

To be considered for this role, you will be required to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Training and experience in management
- A clinical background in healthcare
- Experience in managing staff
- Experience in negotiating contracts and financial management
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to negotiate and positively influence and motivate others
