About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for an administrator to join the high performing administration team at Main Front Reception at Tauranga Hospital. The role is .85 FTE (34 hours per week)
This position provides high-quality reception, administrative, and organisational support across both the Tauranga and Whakatāne hospital sites. This role offers potential for growth and may develop into a leadership opportunity.
You will be the first point of contact to all customers at the Bay of Plenty District Health Board therefore we are looking for someone who will provide excellent customer service. You will be required to respond effectively to general enquiries and maintain good relationships with staff and most importantly patients, visitors and their families.
The position offers a variety of duties including managing phone calls, general administrative tasks, assisting with rostering, welcoming all customers and going the extra mile for them.
Morning and afternoon shifts are required, including some weekends and public holidays. As the Main Front Reception operates seven days a week, this role involves working rostered shifts across these times.

About You
To be successful in this position you will be a team player with a positive attitude, a willingness to work innovatively and find solutions. We are looking for someone who has accurate administrative skills. You will be an excellent communicator and have a friendly telephone manner. Time management skills are important as is your ability to be flexible and adaptable.
