Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
The Human Resources (HR) Advisor partners with leaders across Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Taranaki, as well as the HR team, to ensure the delivery of quality HR services.
This role works with leaders and people across the district to understand their needs and directions and provide professional HR expertise, guidance, support and solutions, operating within legislation, policies and procedures.. You will be required to have strong employment relations skills, the ability to negotiate and agree outcomes, and influence behavioural change.
You will be pro-active with demonstrated evidence of strong time management skills, planning, independent judgement and initiative to be successful. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and working knowledge of relevant employment legislation.

Are you someone who thrives in a fast paced working environment.
You are a keen juggler of tasks and enjoy developing strong working relationships with a diverse group of people and can demonstrate:
• Proven experience in performance management, engagement, dispute resolution, negotiation and employee development
• A high level of motivation, enthusiasm and initiative
• A proactive and positive approach to problem solving
• 3 years of proven experience in generalist HR advisory services supported with a tertiary qualification
• Well-developed time management and prioritisation skills
• Knowledge and application of New Zealand employment law principles and industrial relations
And are seeking:
• To work in a dynamic environment where every day brings something different to work through;
• The opportunity to develop and grow your HR advisory skills while working closely in a team;
