About the Role

We are looking for an HR administrator to join our HR team in this full-time position, working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

This role plays an important part in delivering a positive employee experience by providing timely and accurate first level HR support to employees across the organisation. A key focus of the position is managing and responding to Tier One employee queries through our HR help desk portal, ensuring enquiries are resolved efficiently, professionally, and within agreed timeframes.

Alongside supporting employee enquiries, you will assist with a range of HR administration tasks across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, employee record maintenance, and employment documentation. You will help ensure HR systems and processes are accurate, compliant, and well maintained while supporting managers and the wider HR team with reliable information and administrative support.

This is a varied and fast-paced role suited to someone who enjoys helping people, has strong attention to detail, and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.

About the Team/Service/ Location

You will get the opportunity to be part of a fun, friendly and supportive team. This role will be working onsite at Tauranga Hospital, in a shared office space with 7 others and forms part of the askHR Function.

About you

We are seeking applications from candidates who:

  • Have 2-3 years relevant administrative experience
  • Can demonstrate sound basic HR knowledge
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn broader payroll, HR, Health and Safety, Policies and Procedures
  • Ability to work positively within a team
