Healthcare Assistant – Intensive Care Unit Permanent Part time 0.6 FTE two positions
An exciting role within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) delivering quality patient care and resources to support the patient journey from admission, hospital stay and transfer to the ward. Our ICU Healthcare Assistants (HCA) provide key support to the ICU team while working in a dynamic and highly professional environment.

About the Role
The two Healthcare Assistant positions available are in the ICU. You will be joining a hardworking and supportive team, who are highly effective and efficient in delivering optimal patient care throughout the patient’s ICU stay.
We are welcoming applications from competent and professional practitioners who would like to enhance their knowledge and skills in an acute setting. You will be providing care to patients admitted to ICU for a variety of serious illnesses, so critical thinking and flexibility are essential while you are delivering the highest level of care.

About the Team/Service/ Location
Our team of ICU HCAs work under the direction and delegation of RNs in the unit. We are currently building the HCA knowledge and skill set for working in ICU to enhance the role and maximise the potential of our HCA’s for improving safety, efficiency and quality of service.

About you
· HCA qualification; level 3 minimum
- Experience working within a hospital setting is preferred
- Previous ICU experience is desirable.
- Energetic, available to work AM and PM rostered duties, keen to learn and grow
