About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for four dynamic and motivated Registered Nurses to join our Operating Theatres team on a fixed-term basis. There are four fixed term positions available and ideal for nurses who enjoy working in a fast-paced, technical, and collaborative environment where patient safety and surgical excellence are the focus.
You’ll be delivering nursing care in a high-acuity setting, assisting with a wide range of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopaedics, gynaecology, ENT, and more. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a highly skilled and supportive team committed to delivering exceptional perioperative care.

About you
You are a Registered Nurse with a minimum of three years of recent experience in a theatre setting, looking to apply your knowledge and skills in a dynamic surgical environment. You are passionate about perioperative nursing and committed to providing safe, efficient, and compassionate care to patients throughout their surgical journey.
You will bring:
- A current New Zealand Nursing Council Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
- At least 3 years of recent experience working in a perioperative/theatre environment
- A sound understanding of theatre protocols, infection control standards, and best practices
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and decision-making skills
- The ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations
- A commitment to teamwork, continuous learning, and professional development
- A patient-focused approach and dedication to delivering high-quality care
This role is suited to a nurse who is confident in their perioperative practice and keen to contribute to a high-functioning and supportive surgical team.
