About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Clinical Cardiac Physiologist to join our experienced team on a fixed-term basis at Hawke’s Bay Fallen Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic cardiac services including ECGs, Holter monitoring, Exercise Tolerance Tests, Echocardiography, and support in device clinics. Working closely with our Cardiologists and multidisciplinary team, your expertise will contribute to improving outcomes for patients across the region.

About you
To thrive in this role, you will bring a strong commitment to providing high-quality cardiac diagnostic services within the New Zealand healthcare context. You will have:
- A relevant qualification in Clinical Cardiac Physiology or equivalent, recognised by the Clinical Physiologists Registration Board (CPRB) or eligibility to register in New Zealand
- Registration or the ability to gain registration with the CPRB, ensuring compliance with New Zealand’s professional standards and continuing professional development requirements
- Proven experience performing a broad range of cardiac diagnostic procedures, including ECGs, Holter monitoring, Exercise Tolerance Testing (ETT), and ideally echocardiography
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively with patients and whanau from diverse backgrounds
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and flexibility
- A proactive approach to quality improvement, clinical governance, and ongoing professional development within the New Zealand health system
- Experience or willingness to work in a regional hospital setting, with an appreciation of the unique health needs of Hawke’s Bay and the wider Central Hawke’s Bay community
