  • Faster Cancer Treatment / Multi-Disciplinary Meeting Pathway Coordinator - Hawke’s Bay Fallen Soldier’s Hospital
  • Permanent, Part-Time – 32 hours per fortnight (0.4 FTE)
  • A unique opportunity to be at the centre of cancer care coordination, helping ensure patients receive timely diagnosis and treatment.

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.

About the Role

As the Faster Cancer Treatment (FCT) / Multi ‑ Disciplinary Meeting (MDM) Pathway Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting timely cancer care pathways for patients with a high suspicion of cancer.

You’ll track patients in real time from referral through to diagnosis and first treatment, ensuring accurate data capture and identifying any delays in access to care. Working closely with clinical nurse specialists, Equity Navigators and multidisciplinary teams, you will escalate issues, support equitable access, and help drive improved patient outcomes.

A key part of your role is coordinating and supporting multidisciplinary cancer meetings - preparing referrals and documentation ahead of meetings, providing administrative and technical support during meetings, and ensuring follow‑up actions and documentation are completed afterwards. You’ll also contribute to data reporting, quality improvement initiatives, and alignment with national cancer standards and targets.

This is a varied and impactful role for someone who enjoys combining data, coordination and collaboration within a meaningful clinical service.
