About the Role
As an Admin Coordinator, you will provide high - quality administrative and coordination support to the Surgical Assessment Patient Unit (SAPU). Your day will involve managing patient administration processes, coordinating bookings and schedules, supporting clinical staff, and ensuring the smooth day - to - day operation of the service. You will be a key point of contact for patients, whānau, and staff, helping to create an efficient and welcoming environment.

About the Team/Service/ Location
The Surgical Assessment Patient Unit (SAPU) is a newly established 28 - bed unit providing timely assessment and care for surgical patients. This is a busy and collaborative service, and you will be part of a supportive team committed to delivering high-quality healthcare. Based in Hawke’s Bay, the region offers an excellent lifestyle, great climate, and strong sense of community.

About you
As an Admin Coordinator, you will bring strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to supporting clinical services. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be confident working with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proven administrative experience in a healthcare or similar environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with patient management systems is desirable
