About the Role
As an experienced Physiotherapist, you’ll provide high-quality, patient-centred care within the inpatient neurology and medical wards at Hawke’s Bay Hospital. You’ll manage a diverse caseload, delivering safe and effective assessments, interventions, and discharge planning in collaboration with patients, whānau, and the wider multidisciplinary team. This role also includes contributing to the weekend acute physiotherapy service.
You’ll be part of a team that values clinical excellence, cultural safety, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to mentor students, participate in service development, and lead quality initiatives.

About you
As a Physiotherapist, you will bring:
- A Bachelor of Physiotherapy (or equivalent) and current NZ registration with APC.
- At least 3 years of clinical experience, ideally in neurorehabilitation or inpatient care.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team.
- A full NZ driver’s licence and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, equity, and culturally safe practice.
