About the Role

As a Dietitian, you’ll provide expert nutritional care to adult inpatients across Hawke’s Bay Hospital. You’ll manage a diverse caseload, delivering safe and clinically effective assessments, interventions, and discharge planning in partnership with patients, whānau, and the wider health team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment where your clinical reasoning and cultural responsiveness will make a real impact.

This fixed-term position is ideal for someone who is passionate about equity, collaborative care, and continuous improvement in dietetic practice. You’ll be supported to grow professionally while contributing to a service that values innovation and holistic care.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Our Allied Health Therapies team is a collaborative and skilled group of professionals working across inpatient wards at Hawke’s Bay Hospital. We’re committed to delivering high-quality, culturally safe care that supports recovery and wellbeing for our diverse communities.

About you

As a Dietitian, you will bring:

  • NZ Registration with a current Annual Practising Certificate (with prescribing endorsement).
  • A Master’s degree in Nutrition & Dietetics (or equivalent).
  • Clinical experience in inpatient dietetic care and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across teams.
  • A full, clean NZ driver’s licence and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
