BreastScreen Waitematā Northland is part of Health New Zealand’s free national BreastScreen Aotearoa Programme, screening over 45,000 women annually. Our service is dedicated to providing exceptional care and a consistently positive experience for our clients.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Consultant Breast Radiologist to join our team in a full-time capacity to support our BreastScreen Waitematā Northland service, based in the Waitematā District.
About the Role
As a Consultant Breast Radiologist, you will:
- Lead screening assessment clinics at our Takapuna and/or NorthWest Assessment Sites.
- Collaborate closely with an expert multidisciplinary team, including MITs, breast surgeons, breast nurses, and clerical staff.
- Provide breast imaging services, including mammography, breast ultrasound, and ultrasound-guided or stereotactic biopsies.
- Read and interpret screening mammograms.
- Participate in weekly Multidisciplinary Meetings (MDM) to contribute to patient management discussions.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold accreditation with Breastscreen Aotearoa or be willing to achieve accreditation with our support.
- Have experience across all forms of breast imaging and diagnostic procedures.
- Subspecialty fellowship or interest in breast imaging.
- Be committed to delivering high-quality care as part of a dynamic and collaborative team.
