About the Role
This leadership role as a Physiotherapy Practice Supervisor within the Community Rehabilitation Team offers an exciting opportunity to blend clinical practice with professional and operational leadership. Based at Greenlane Clinical Centre and Kahui Marino (Pt Chevalier Clinical Hub), this permanent, full-time position invites a motivated and experienced physiotherapist to lead a team dedicated to providing comprehensive rehabilitation services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Provide operational and clinical leadership to a team of physiotherapists, ensuring high standards of care and continuous professional development.
- Service Development: Drive quality improvements and contribute to the evolution of the Community Rehabilitation Service.
- Clinical Practice: Maintain a clinical caseload, modelling senior-level, evidence-informed practice and advanced clinical reasoning.
- Collaboration: Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of occupational therapists, speech-language therapists, clinical psychologists and therapy assistants, and engage with other Allied Health Practice Supervisors for support and guidance.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The Community Rehabilitation Team provides an interdisciplinary rehabilitation service for clients transitioning from hospital to home following significant health events. The service aims to optimise client independence, participation and function in clients' daily lives through:
- Community-Based Rehabilitation Service: Responsive care delivered in clients' home and clinic-based environments.
- Early Supported Discharge (ESD) Program: Facilitating earlier transitions from hospital with comprehensive support.
This role is based at Auckland City Hospital Greenlane Clinical Centre and Kahui Marino (Pt Chevalier Clinical Hub).

About you
As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:
- NZ Registered Physiotherapist with a current APC and driver’s licence
- 7+ years of clinical experience, additionally mentoring and coaching experience desirable
- Supervision knowledge and skill
- Excellent clinical reasoning skills and use of evidence informed practice
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary bicultural environment
- Effective time management, prioritisation and organisation skills
- A flexible, pro-active approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
