About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced registered nurse to work within the ACC and Non Resident Business Team.

You will be expected to effectively manage and process ACC Treatment Injury claims and provide clinical oversight within the ACC and Non Resident Business Team. The role is largely administrative with a focus on the provision of quality services together with the ability to work well with external agencies (ACC and Ministry of Immigration), patients and team members. You will report to the ACC and Non Resident Business Team Leader and play an integral part in supporting your Team Leader to ensure all ACC and Non Resident legislative and contractual requirements are met, as well as contribute to optimising revenue opportunities and ensuring eligible patients receive their full entitlements under ACC.  

About the Team/Service/ Location

The ACC Team provides expert support to all clinical areas across Taranaki Basei Hospital, ensuring all ACC documentation and processes are completed accurately and in line with contractual and regulatory requirements. With strong knowledge of relevant ACC contracts, the team plays a vital role in ensuring both patients and the hospital receive the correct entitlements.

About you

Preferred candidates will have the following:

Essential:

· A NZ Registered Nurse with a current practicing certificate

· At least 5 years post graduate experience in an inpatient setting

· Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action

· Exceptional clinical knowledge

· Previous exposure or experience with ACC
