About the Role

This position is to join the Cardiology team to help manage and undertake the safe, timely and efficient care delivery of cardiac education and rehabilitation within the Taranaki region. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, experienced and highly motivated individual. You will need to be collaborative and foster excellent working relationships within the team. You will continue to provide comprehensive nursing knowledge and expertise specific to Cardiology. We require someone who will work alongside and provide support to our Cardiologists, Nurse Practitioners and Allied health professionals. This is not an exhaustive description of the role and we expect this position to grow to meet the needs of the Taranaki Population.

About the Team/Service/ Location

The Cardiology & Respiratory Outpatients Service in Taranaki is a buy and supportive team dedicated to providing high quality, patient-centred care to the local community. The service delivers a wide range of specialist cardiology and respiratory diagnostics and treatments while working closely with the multidisciplinary teams across the hospital and wider health region. Staff are committed to providing compassionate, timely and equitable care during their health care journey.

  • Registered Nurse with minimum of 5 years’ experience in Cardiology
  • Current expert PDRP at senior or expert level
  • A current practising certificate
  • Post graduate qualification – Ideally Diploma at a minimum
  • Excellent leadership ability
  • Able to work independently and have self-direction
  • A strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptability, flexibility and agility
