About the Role

As a Clinical Nurse Manager, you will provide excellent clinical, professional and management leadership for the service in order to develop and maintain services that will decrease risk and enhance the quality of care and patient safety. As a Clinical Nurse Manager, you are required to manage the systems, processes and resources that enable staff to meet the needs of the patients in an efficient and effective manner. You will participate in strategic planning processes and take accountability and responsibility for ensuring delegated objectives and outcomes are achieved.

About the Team/Service/Location

The Clinical Nurse Manager – Radiology will lead a dynamic team of nurses and healthcare assistants within Te Tai Tokerau, working as an integral part of the wider Radiology service. This role is responsible for overseeing and supporting Radiology teams across key modalities including CT, Ultrasound, Diagnostic Breast imaging, Ultrasound and MRI, ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care and safe clinical practice. The position also has responsibility for the coordination and management of interventional radiology bookings, contributing to efficient service delivery and patient flow across the department.

About you

You will be innovative, personable, and passionate about nursing excellence, quality improvement and ensuring the best health outcomes for our patients.

  • New Zealand Registered Nurse with current annual practicing certificate
  • Relevant post graduate diploma
  • Designated Senior Nurse PDRP or Expert PDRP (demonstrating clinical examples)
  • At least three years’ experience in relevant specialty area
  • At least seven years post registration experience
  • Nursing leadership experience
