About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse Educator, the purpose of your role is to promote, facilitate and provide clinical education to maximise health care delivery, enhance patient outcomes and promote clinical excellence and evidence-based professional nursing practice.
- To promote clinical excellence through the facilitation, development and provision of ward/unit based education programmes and resources.
- To develop the competence and capability of the nursing workforce within the clinical area.
This is a permanent part time position; you will be working 24 hours per week between Monday-Friday on rostered shifts.

About the Team/Service/Location
You will be working within the General Ward at Dargaville Hospital in a close-knit nursing team and wider community.
Dargaville Hospital provides hospital level and community care to the people of Kaipara. The General ward is a 12-bed ward that in addition also provides acute emergency care and planned procedures.

About you
- New Registered Nurse with a current practicing certificate
- Relevant Post Graduate Diploma or working towards
- Designated Senior Nurse PDRP or Expert PDRP (demonstrating clinical examples)
- At least 7 years post registration experience with at least 3 years’ experience in the relevant specialty area
Previous experience in a clinical teaching role is desirable but not essential.
