We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses with advanced clinical practice knowledge in radiation oncology, strong leadership, and nursing skills to step into an exciting Clinical Charge Nurse position.
About the Role
Te Pūriri o Te Ora, the Regional Cancer and Blood Service at Te Toka Tumai Auckland welcome you to come and work in a friendly, fun and vibrant team. Our fast-paced Radiation Therapy Department is the largest in NZ, offering nurses a wide range of practice opportunities in a very supportive environment.
We are committed to providing excellent nursing care to patients and their whanau.
In this role you will:
- Be accountable for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of clinical nursing care to patients and their family/whanau.
- Demonstrate clinical and professional leadership and co-ordination of the service daily basis you will be in addition to leading and supporting nursing teams in all aspects of nursing care management within the service.
This is a key senior nursing role and you will be working under the direction of the Charge Nurse, Nurse Unit Manager and Radiation Therapy Head, and in conjunction with clinicians and other members of wider multidisciplinary team.

About You
For this role we are looking for the following:
- Strong leadership and nursing skills
- Some experience in radiation and/or medical oncology
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive senior nursing team
- Commitment to effective, evidence-based nursing practice
- Excellent supervisory skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Vision, initiative, and a strong desire to make a difference
