About the opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Nurse / Clinical Leader to join the Northern Regional Cervical Screening Programme based at Greenlane.

With new clinical pathways, HPV testing advancements, and system upgrades underway, this is a pivotal time to contribute to shaping the future of cervical screening in Aotearoa. In this role, you will:

  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the Auckland Register team
  • Champion quality improvement and data-driven practice
  • Support health care providers ensure best-practice cervical screening standards are implemented
  • Providing quality, evidence-based information for all participants and providers involved in cervical screening.
  • Work collaboratively across the Health Services Connection Centre, alongside programmes such as AIR and NCHIP
  • Support the NCSP Team Leader and wider clinical leadership group

About you

You are an experienced and credible clinical leader who brings both clinical excellence and systems insight. You are confident working with data, passionate about improving equity, and skilled at supporting teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will bring:

  • Current registration and Annual Practising Certificate in New Zealand
  • Authorisation as a cervical sample taker (NCSP)
  • At least 5 years’ experience in women’s health or primary care services
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching capability
  • Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, equity, and population health
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with Māori and Pacific whānau

Ideally, you will also be an authorised vaccinator.
