About the Role
We are looking for experienced and motivated Nurse or Clinical Physiologist (Renal) to join the dialysis team. This role offers an opportunity to develop or enhance their clinical leadership and operational management skills leading the Tui (Carrington) Dialysis Unit based at Point Chevalier.
• Permanent, 0.6 FTE
• Monday – Friday, 6 hours 5 days a week (days can be negotiable).
About the Service
The Te Toka Tumai Renal Service provides dialysis treatment to over 440 patients and of those, over 75% undergo haemodialysis at one of four in-centre dialysis units. In-centre dialysis is delivered by Registered Nurses and Renal Physiologists.
About You
You will have well developed communication and team building skills and set high clinical standards. You will have the demonstrated the ability to identify and implement improvements to enhance patient care.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current NZ Nursing Council or Clinical Physiologist (Renal) registration and APC
- Proficient or expert-level PDRP portfolio (or equivalent)
- Proven clinical leadership capability
- Well developed clinical knowledge and skills to support holistic patient care
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way
Ideally, you will have 3 years’ experience in leadership preferable experience in Renal Medicine and enrolled or completed post grad/diploma studies
