Te Pūriri o Te Ora - Auckland’s Regional Cancer and Blood Service is based at Auckland City Hospital and is the leading provider of cancer care in the Auckland region, serving a large and varied population of around 1.7 million people. The Auckland City Hospital Radiation Oncology Department is the largest single site department in Australasia.

Equipment used within the department are in line with worldwide developments such as six linear accelerators (Varian and Elekta), Align RT and C-RAD SGRT systems, Dual Energy CT, RaySearch Treatment Planning System, Mobius, SNC and Octavius QA platforms and HDR. We also have exciting developments - the construction of a new brachytherapy suite along with a new afterloader and Brachytherapy TPS, the installation of the second of 2 new Varian TrueBeam Linacs and the opening of a second site with one Linac, a CT and dedicated staff in Whangārei.

This is your opportunity to provide Physics support across our Radiation Therapy Service. You will gain significant experience in clinical development projects and in the implementation of new techniques and technologies, e.g. in SRS, SABR and motion management. We are also an accredited training centre and run an excellent programme for teaching and training Medical Physics Registrars which you get to be a part of.

You will also receive access to continuing professional development funds so you can continue to grow your expertise while attending international courses and conferences.

To be considered, you will be a qualified Medical Physicist (ACPSEM Certified ROMP or equivalent).

A passion for high quality evidence based Medical Physics will be essential to your success.

Your strengths in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team are hugely welcomed, particularly your ability to work closely with clinical colleagues.
