About the Role
As an Allied Healthcare Assistant, the successful applicant will deliver Home and Community Support services to clients who have recently been discharged from hospital or who have experienced a significant change in their health circumstances. This support includes personal cares (hygiene cares), home help (housework) and rehabilitation during recovery.

About the Team/Service/ Location
Our multidisciplinary team of 22 provides support to our pakeke (elderly) to maintain their independence in the community. We provide cares to assist in early supported discharge from hospital, promoting rehabilitation, recovery and re-enablement in the clients own home.

About you
As an Allied Healthcare Assistant you will have:
- A commitment to culturally safe, sensitive and equitable support to achieve the best possible health outcomes
- Excellent communication skills
- A “can-do” attitude
- The ability to follow complex instruction
- The ability to engage different team members, patients and whānau
- NZQA Healthcare Assistant Level 3 or similar qualification is desirable
