About the Role
As the Administrator, Office of the Chief Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting the effective and efficient functioning of Nursing Services. This is a busy and rewarding position that provides high-quality, confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Chief Nurse, Deputy Chief Nurse, and wider Nursing Services team.
On a day-to-day basis, you will manage service emails and diaries, coordinate meetings and events, prepare reports and correspondence, take and transcribe meeting minutes, and support a range of HR and payroll-related processes. You will be relied upon to triage information, coordinate responses, and communicate professionally with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. This role also provides opportunities to support projects and offer administrative cross-cover across Nursing Services, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and working at pace in a healthcare environment.

About the Team/Service/ Location
The Office of the Chief Nurse provides strategic and operational support to Nursing Services across the organisation. You will work closely with a committed and collaborative team who are passionate about delivering safe, high-quality care for our community.

About you
The ideal applicant will possess;
- Drive to be customer focused
- A basic understanding of the Healthcare system
- Proven knowledge of all Windows based applications
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven knowledge of the Privacy Act, and the Health Information Privacy Code
- An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and be culturally responsive
- Proven organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent time management skill and ability to prioritise appropriately
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proven ability to work as part of a team
