Waitemata National Bowel Screening Health Promotion Team Leader

Permanent Part time role - 0.9FTE

Waitemata District is looking for an exceptional person to lead a strong, passionate, confident team of Maori, Pacific and Asian Health Promoters to develop and implement awareness raising strategies and create opportunities that accelerate participation of the national bowel screening programme to achieve equitable outcomes in the Waitemata area.

Previous experience leading culturally diverse teams within a health promotion setting, together with sound knowledge of Maori and Pacific social norms and health issues are essential.

The ideal candidate would be innovative, resourceful and highly motivated with the ability to work independently and to function constructively as a member of the Waitemata Bowel Screen leadership team.

This position is part time working 36 hours per week. We are based in Takapuna however we work across the whole Waitemata region. The successful applicant must be available to work weekends as required.
