Transport Coordinator
- Based at Whakatane Hospital
- Permanent position, 0.4 FTE – 32 hours per fortnight

About the role
Working across Tauranga and Whakatāne Hospitals, you will coordinate the day to day transport and vehicle requirements for staff, ensuring our fleet is well maintained, available when needed and supported by accurate records and administration.
You will also coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements for staff and, when required, patients and accompanying staff. This is a varied role where attention to detail, good organisation and the ability to work with a range of people will be key.

About you
We are looking for someone who:
- Has comprehensive computer skills and is confident learning new systems
- Has excellent attention to detail and can maintain accurate and precise records
- Has experience working in the health sector
- Has well developed organisational skills and can manage competing demands
- Has strong written and verbal communication skills
- Works well as part of a team and builds positive relationships with others
- Uses initiative and takes a practical, methodical and process focused approach to their work
- Is courteous, respectful and customer service focused
- Has good financial and record keeping skills, including invoice coding and reconciliation
Previous experience coordinating vehicles, travel, accommodation or similar services would be an advantage, but we are also interested in hearing from someone with strong administration and coordination skills who is keen to learn.
This is a varied role where you will make a real difference by helping ensure our staff have the transport and travel support they need across Tauranga and Whakatāne.
