Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Waitematā serves the largest district population in NZ, providing health services to a diverse population covering the North Shore, Rodney and West Auckland.

We also have services that reach out to Manukau City, Central Auckland and Northland.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced or System Safety Analyst in our Quality and Risk Team, to empower our teams with data to support identification of gaps and areas for improvement. As a member of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, you will be contributing to building a more connected and equitable healthcare system.

Solid trend analysis, hypothesis testing and data modelling skills are a must, experience with Qlik Sense or other advanced BI tool is an advantage.

About you

We are looking for someone who will thrive in a fast-paced, digitally advanced environment. You will provide meaningful data modelling and visualisations for the quality and risk team, and organisational leadership teams. You will link information across a diverse range of data sources using your investigative and logical mind, to support healthcare improvement. You will also provide system administrator support for the quality systems used across Waitematā.

We are looking for someone with these skills and qualities:

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Analytical thinking - ability to work with large, diverse datasets
  • Experience with BI tools, preferably Qlik Sense (preferred, not essential)
  • A can-do attitude, outcomes focus and willingness to learn new skills and tools
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, life-long learner with a strong work ethic
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
