About the Role

As a Support Services Office Lead, you’ll provide high-level PA and administrative support to the General Manager of the Support Services Group, helping to deliver safe, equitable, and efficient healthcare services across Hawke’s Bay. This is a dynamic and trusted role where you’ll manage sensitive information, coordinate strategic initiatives, and act as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners.

Your day will involve diary and email management, coordinating meetings and events, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and overseeing financial and reporting processes. You’ll also play a vital role in driving continuous improvement, supporting leadership teams, and ensuring the smooth running of office operations.

About the Team/Service/ Location

You’ll be part of the Health and Specialist Services team within Health New Zealand Hawke’s Bay, working closely with the General Manager and Support Services Leadership Team. The team is committed to delivering high-quality, person- and whānau-centred care. About you

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Extensive experience in a PA or office management role supporting senior leaders.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, financial systems, and meeting coordination.
  • Proven ability to manage confidential information and build relationships across all levels.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, flexible approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to equity and Māori engagement.
  • Desirable: Experience working in a health setting.
