About the Role
The Adult Sleep and Ventilatory Service at Te Toka Tumai provides a multi-level platform for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of Sleep Disordered Breathing (SDB) and other Sleep-related disorders.
Our team is comprised of physiologists, nurses, and doctors who work together to carry out a wide range of sleep investigations and to provide treatment, management, and ongoing support of SDB patients. Specialising in areas such as Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA), Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), and Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV), our team collaborates with other healthcare providers across Auckland and New Zealand, working alongside primary care providers and other respiratory and sleep service experts for the purposes of health care provision and education/information.
We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Clinical Sleep Physiologist to join our team.
As the successful candidate, you will be able to:
- Demonstrate specialist technical knowledge in complex clinical practice
- Identify, prepare, monitor, and maintain materials and equipment for investigations and procedures
- Maintain a clinical caseload including patients with complex problems within the area of sleep
- Apply specialist clinical knowledge, reasoning, and expertise while modelling evidence based practice
- Demonstrate an ability to lead and work effectively within a clinical team

About you
The successful applicant will have:
- BSc or similar in relevant field
- PG Dip MTEX (sleep) or equivalent
- Australia and New Zealand Sleep Science Association Certification Exam (ACE) or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification or equivalent competency assessment
- Current NZ Clinical Physiologist Board (CPRB) Registration as a Sleep Physiologist and an Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) without conditions
- 6+ years practicing in Sleep
- Knowledge of quality improvement principles
