This a great opportunity to join our Professional Development Unit (PDU) with specific focus on service delivery and supporting Clinical Nurse Educators to provide education and professional development. This is an exciting role where you will be responsible for overseeing administrative tasks relating to a variety of programmes and educational opportunities for registered nurses at both Rotorua and Taupo hospitals.

About the Role
As a Service Delivery Coordinator for the Professional Development Unit you are pivotal to the smooth running and delivery of education for healthcare staff within the organisation. This position works closely with the Nurse Consultant of the PDU to ensure education opportunities are promoted, systems are maintained to track and report on various programmes, and provide support to the Clinical Nurse Educators as required. Using your expert administrative skills, you will oversee processes relating to postgraduate funding, registered nurse graduate employment, Professional Development Recognition Programme (PDRP) and nursing students accessing the organisation for clinical placements.
This is an ideal opportunity to experience how professional development for registered and undergraduate nurses are managed and supported during their time with Health NZ Lakes. This is a varied and busy role utilising various databases with the requirement to work collaboratively with various departments across the organisation, and working in conjunction with the Nurse Consultant and Chief Nursing Officer.
About the Team/Service/ Location
This role supports the role of Clinical Nurse Educators, providing them with administrative assistance and advice. The Professional Development Unit plays a crucial role in promoting education and training for registered nurses, ensuring RNs are provided opportunities to develop their practice and strengthen service delivery in their areas.

About you
Key experience and professional requirements for the role include:
- 5 years plus administration experience
- Excellent computer skills including experience with Excel and LMS (Learning Management Systems)
- Highly organised with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills across various modes
- Experience in compiling reports to deadlines
- Able to work effectively within a team demonstrating manaakitanga.
